YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF MAKING THREATS TO KILL PEOPLE

A 38-year-old man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly threatened to kill several people in Yucca Valley. According to a Sheriff’s report, Paul
Smith Bass of no known address went to a home in the 56100 block of Yuma Trail in Yucca Valley about 1:30 p.m. Saturday and started banging on the door. When the resident—who had filed a restraining order against Bass due to previous threats Bass had made against him—told Bass to leave, Bass threatened to kill him. Neighbors told deputies that when they told Bass they would call law enforcement, Bass threatened to kill them, too. All the victims told deputies they believed Bass would return and shoot them. Paul Bass was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
