A Yucca Valley man was arrested Wednesday, accused of child sexual abuse. On May 7, deputies were called to a report of a sexual assault against a juvenile boy in the 6900 block of Grand Avenue. The boy said he was sexually assaulted by Michael Cole, 31. Deputies were unable to locate Cole as it was believed he had moved and was in hiding. On Wednesday, Detectives Steve Wilson and Dominic Vaca took over the case. About 7 p.m., they found Cole near Dumosa Avenue and Highway 62. After an interview at the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station in Joshua Tree Michael Cole, was arrested for investigation of three counts of lewd acts with a child under 14. Michael Cole was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $250,000.
