YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF GRAND THEFT OF GOLF CLUBS

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Wednesday afternoon accused of grand theft. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called on Monday to an undisclosed business location in Yucca Valley to investigate the theft of a set of golf clubs valued at approximately $1400. Upon arrival, deputies were shown video surveillance footage of the alleged suspect, Lucas Clavet, 22, of Yucca Valley, who was positively identified by the victim. On Wednesday afternoon, deputies located Clavet at his home in the 55100 block of Airline Drive in Yucca Valley where the stolen property was discovered. Clavet, who was found to be on probation, was arrested for investigation of grand theft and booked into the Morongo Basin jail with his bail set at $50,000.
