A Yucca Valley man was arrested early Wednesday morning, accused of beating up his girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 7100 block of Seymour Drive about 1 a.m. A neighbor heard a woman screaming and said a man, later identified as Kelly Macon, 33, was hitting her. During the call the woman ran for help to a neighbor, and said that Macon had nailed one of the doors shut and stood in front of the other door so she couldn’t escape. After an investigation, Kelly Macon was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse and false imprisonment, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
