YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF DUI IN ROLLOVER CRASH THURSDAY

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Thursday (August 19) accused of DUI following a rollover crash in Yucca Valley. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 247 and Buena Suerte Road around 1 p.m. for a report of a white Toyota Camry on its roof just off the roadway. Deputies and medical personnel arrived on scene where they located the driver Matthew Hieb, 31, who told the deputies that he was attempting to avoid an object in the road when he overcorrected and rolled his vehicle. During their investigation, Deputies determined that Hieb was under the influence of a controlled substance. Matthew Hieb was arrested for investigation of DUI and driving on a suspended license from a previous DUI and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail.
