A Yucca Valley man was arrested Wednesday, accused of driving under the influence and being in possession of drugs. About 2 p.m. Wednesday, deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle near Highway 62 and Estrella Avenue in Twentynine Palms. Deputies suspected the driver, Jason Erickson, 43, was driving under the influence, and conducted a field sobriety test. During a search of the vehicle, deputies located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Jason Erickson was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence of drugs, operating a motor vehicle while being addicted to drugs, and possession of a controlled substance, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, cited, and released.
