YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF DEALING DRUGS

A Yucca Valley man was arrested early Tuesday morning, accused of dealing drugs. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy made a traffic stop of a 1993 Honda near the intersection of Highway 62 and Juniper Road shortly before 1 a.m. During a consent search of the vehicle, the deputy found methamphetamine, heroin, packaging materials, and a large amount of cash in the possession of Justin Smith, 38. Justin Smith was arrested for investigation of possession of controlled substances for sales, and on a warrant, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his total bail set at $100,000.
