A Yucca Valley man was arrested Sunday after his girlfriend said he tried to choke her. According to a Sheriff’s report, a woman in the 58300 block of Mountain View Trail was arguing with Lance Johnson, 33, about 7 p.m. Saturday over the fact he wanted to drive after drinking. The woman told deputies that during the argument, Johnson choked her with his right hand for about 10 seconds. He then fled the scene. Deputies located Lance Johnson about 11:40 a.m. Sunday morning at the residence and arrested him for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked him into the Morongo Basin Jail where he was released on $50,000 bail.
