YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF BURGLARY

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Sunday, accused of burglarizing a home. Deputies were called to the 7300 block of La Vina Trail in Yucca Valley just before 11 p.m. Saturday where the resident said a firearm and several personal items had been stolen. The suspect was identified as James Velasquez, 32. Armed with a search warrant, deputies went to Velasquez’s home on Palomar Avenue where they found a light blue Toyota Prius parked in the driveway with multiple bullet holes of different calibers in the rear windshield and rear of the car. The stolen property was found inside the home. James Velasquez was arrested for investigation of burglary, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
