YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF BEATING UP HIS GIRLFRIEND

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Monday afternoon, accused of beating up his girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, a witness called 911 shortly before 4 p.m. to report that a man and woman were fighting in the 6300 block of Hermosa Avenue. When deputies arrived, the woman, who was bleeding from her hand, said her boyfriend, Ted Rodriguez, 35, had punched her. Rodriguez then walked outside the home and yelled at deputies that he was ready to go to jail because his girlfriend had called the cops. After an investigation, deputies determined that Rodriguez was the aggressor in the fight, and Ted Rodriguez was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse. Rodriguez was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
