YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF BEATING HIS MOTHER

A Yucca Valley man is accused of beating up his mother Friday after she served him with a “no negative contact” restraining order. According to a Sheriff’s report, Mynor Marroquin, 40, became angry after he was served with a restraining order by his mother. The report states that about 3:30 p.m., his mother was sitting in a recliner chair in her home, when Marroquin punched her twice in the face, giving her a black eye, bruises, and lacerations to her nose. The woman’s arms were bruised as well. After an investigation, Mynor Marroquin was arrested on suspicion of assault with serious injuries, as well as on two warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia, for failing to pay his fine in another court case, and for failing to appear for a court appearance. Mynor Marroquin was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $200,000.
