YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF BEATING GIRLFRIEND, FIGHTING DEPUTY

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Friday, accused of beating up his girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy was sent to the 3600 block of Hanford Avenue in Yucca Valley about 9:15 p.m. for a domestic disturbance. The deputy contacted Adrian Morales, 28, who appeared to be intoxicated. The victim told the deputy that Morales came home drunk and started arguing with her. The argument escalated when the woman shoved Morales, and he then grabbed her by the back of her neck and shoved her into a wall. She said she briefly lost consciousness twice. When the deputy attempted to arrest Adrian Morales for investigation of felony spouse abuse, Morales began to fight the deputy. Morales was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with an additional charge of suspicion of resisting arrest, with his bail set at $50,000.
