A Yucca Valley man was arrested Tuesday, accused of beating and threatening a woman. Deputies were called to the 8200 block of Grand Avenue in Yucca Valley just before 6 p.m. by a woman who said Lawrence Ryan, 29, was drunk and was hitting her. She urged deputies to hurry as she thought she might die if they didn’t get there soon. When deputies arrived, they learned that Ryan was also fighting with a neighbor who was trying to help the victim. After an investigation, Lawrence Ryan was arrested on suspicion of assault and making criminal threats, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
