A Yucca Valley man was arrested early Wednesday morning, accused of beating up a senior citizen. According to a Sheriff’s report, Myron Marroquin, 44, went to a home in the 73800 block of Desert Queen Drive in Twentynine Palms about 1:15 a.m. The victim said that Marroquin knocked on the door asking to see another man at the home; when the victim told Marroquin to leave, Marroquin became upset and punched the 66-year-old man in the chest, causing him to fall to his knees and lose his breath. Myron Marroquin was arrested for investigation of elder abuse, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
