A Yucca Valley man was arrested Sunday morning after he assaulted a woman at a park. About 9 a.m., deputies were called to Little League Park in Yucca Valley by a woman who said she was at the park to see her son when Clifford Barcklow, 54, approached her and began yelling at her. She told deputies he yelled that she needed to leave Yucca Valley because there were too many bums. He then grabbed her drink from her hand, threw it on her, crushed the can and threw the can at her leg. She said Barcklow then pushed her against a wall and told her to go to the restroom because she was trash. When deputies located Barcklow and attempted to detain him, he pulled his arm out of the deputy’s grasp and flung it toward another deputy. Clifford Barcklow was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, battery, and being drunk and disorderly. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, cited, and released.
