YUCCA VALLEY MAN SHOOTS ROOMMATE WITH SHOTGUN, ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER

An argument between roommates resulted in one man being accused of attempted murder. According to the Sheriff’s Department, Andrew Hinman, 44, was arguing with his roommate Christopher Greco, 41, in the 57400 block of Chipmunk Trail about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday because Greco refused to leave the home. A man called dispatchers to report that he confronted Greco at the home with a shotgun, and shot Greco’s right arm was shot off. The caller also said the shooting was in self-defense and the incident was on video. After an investigation, Andrew Hinman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $1 million.
