YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF ATTEMPTED BURGLARY

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Saturday afternoon (July 10) accused of attempted burglary after attempting to break into vehicles in Yucca Valley. According to Sheriff’s reports, deputies responded to the Steak N’ Shake parking lot around 1 p.m. for a report that a suspect, later identified as Darren Clayborn, 30, was breaking into vehicles and harassing customers at the restaurant. Responding deputies contacted Clayborn and, through witness testimony, determined he had attempted to break into several vehicles. During a search, Deputies located items on Clayborn that were determined to have been stolen from Home Depot. Darren Clayborn was arrested for investigation of attempted burglary and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $25,000.
