A Yucca Valley man was arrested Tuesday, accused of beating up his cousin. Carlos Cardenas, 37, became irate during an argument Monday night with his cousin in the 55900 block of Onaga Trail in Yucca Valley. The victim called law enforcement about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and told deputies that Cardenas had punched her multiple times in the face. Her injuries included a bloodshot eye, difficulty seeing out of one eye, and a visibly swollen face. Carlos Cardenas was arrested for investigation of assault, and on two misdemeanor warrants, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
