A Yucca Valley man was arrested Thursday afternoon (July 8) accused of assault following a dispute over stolen water. According to Sheriff’s reports, deputies were called to the 56700 block of Sunset Avenue in Yucca Valley by the victim who reported that Andrew Dunn, 47, who was staying at the property, had stolen water and was not paying rent. The victim had turned off the water to the property, leading to an argument between Dunn and the victim. During the argument, Dunn punched the victim in the eye, causing injuries. Deputies arrived on scene and located Dunn. Andrew Dunn was arrested for investigation of aggravated battery causing serious bodily injury and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $100,000.
