YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF ARSON IN YUCCA VALLEY FIRE

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Thursday, accused of arson. Just after 3 a.m. Thursday morning, firefighters were called to an apartment fire in the 56200 block of Papago Trail in Yucca Valley. The caller said they could see smoke. Firefighters entered the apartment to find a first-floor room and its contents on fire. No one was home in the apartment at the time of the fire. About 10 a.m., deputies arrested Robert Villareal, 25, at the scene of the blaze for investigation of arson. Robert Villareal was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $250,000.
