YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF ARSON IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Thursday, accused of arson. According to Sheriff’s reports, deputies and fire personnel responded to reports of multiple fires in Twentynine Palms, including the trash cans at the Jack-in-the-Box restaurant and the Twentynine Palms Senior Center, and in fields around downtown Twentynine Palms. During their search of the area, deputies located Alejandro Ornelas, 23 of Yucca Valley. After an investigation, Alejandro Ornelas was arrested for investigation of arson, making criminal threats, violating his probation, and on a warrant; and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his total bail set at $100,000.
