A Yucca Valley man was arrested Wednesday (June 2) accused of armed robbery following an investigation into a stolen vehicle. According to Sheriff’s reports, deputies responded to a report of a robbery at the Sinclair Gas Station in 55000 block of Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley on Tuesday, May 25, around 11 a.m. An unidentified Hispanic mal suspect had entered the business with a silver semi-automatic style handgun and demanded money from the station attendant at gunpoint. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money then fled the scene on foot traveling northwest. Deputies launched an immediate area search with the help of Sheriff’s Aviation, but the suspect was not located.
On Wednesday, June 2, deputies contacted Kaenen Kessler, 19, of Yucca Valley during an investigation involving the possession of a stolen vehicle. During the investigation, deputies recovered evidence linking Kessler to the armed robbery. Kaenen Kessler was arrested for investigation of robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle, and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $100,000.
