YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF ABUSING HIS FATHER

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Sunday night, accused of injuring his father during a fight. According to a Sheriff’s report, the 77-year-old father called for help about 9:45 p.m., saying his son, Eric Jacobs, 49, was arguing with him and then the argument turned physical. The man said Jacobs hit him in the upper body and arms, causing bruises, as well as threatened him, and then Jacobs went outside his home in the 7400 block of Cardillo Trail and started breaking things. After an investigation, Eric Jacobs was arrested on suspicion of elder abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
