Yucca Valley Lady Trojans soccer win “Battle of the Boot” over Twentynine Palms Wildcats

The Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojans soccer team hosted the Twentynine Palms High School Wildcats on Wednesday night (January 17) for the Battle of the Boot and the conclusion of this year’s Elk Cup. Coming up with a big win of 4-1 was the Lady Trojans, earning them the possession of the boot and trophy until the next season!

Scoring the first two for the Lady Trojans was Sophomore Alssysah Morales, followed by 2 from Freshman Arabella Arichega with one of them being assisted by Junior Willow Jones off a precisely perfectly placed corner kick! The Lady Trojans increased their overall league record to 3 – 5.

The Junior Varsity team had countless shots on goal and controlled possession for the majority of the game, but just couldn’t find the back of the net, resulting in a hard fought 0 – 0 tie.

They travel to face the #1 team in their league, Coachella, tonight with JV kicking off at 4pm and Varsity at 5:30.
