The Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojan basketball team won their fourth consecutive game last night with a 62-23 win over Bloomington High School in a second round game in the Redlands East Valley HS Classic tournament.
Senior Tayla Monroy was sensational scoring a game high 21 points including 5 three point baskets. Sophomore Kamea Medina netted 15 and fellow sophomore NaVeah Baclig added 10 points. Junior Teagan Moon and senior Syhelie Gilmore also scored 5 points each.
With the win the team improved their record to 4 – 2 on the season. The girls play again tonight in the tournament when they face Rancho Verde HS in a rematch of an overtime win by the Lady Trojans two weeks ago.
Tip off is 6:30 p.m. at Redlands East Valley HS.
