The Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojan basketball team fell just short in a second round game at the Raincross Tournament losing to tournament host Riverside Poly 55-50 Tuesday night (November 16).
Senior Ashley Lowe was spectacular from long range knocking down 5 three point baskets to lead the team with 15 points. Junior Cadence Tarrant pumped in 14 points despite spending a majority of the game on the bench in foul trouble. Senior Malia Ulery was double teamed much of the game but was still able to notch 13 points while senior Jaylie Schreiber added 8 points as the girls fell to 1-1 on the season.
The squad plays their third game of the tournament this afternoon (November 16) at 5 p.m. against the highly ranked Rancho Christian Eagles from Temecula.
