The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan basketball team played a solid game yesterday (November 16) but came up just a bit short losing 77-65 to a very talented Rancho Christian High School squad in a third round game at the Raincross Tournament in Riverside.
Senior Malia Ulery was unstoppable in the first half scoring 20 of her game high 26 points while pulling down 12 rebounds and passing out 8 assists. Junior Cadence Tarrant was a force scoring 20 points and grabbing 15 rebounds while blocking 4 shots. Senior Jaylie Schreiber knocked down 8 points and fellow senior Ashley Lowe added 4 points.
The loss dropped the teams record to 1-2 for the new season. Tomorrow’s game against Ayala High School of Chino is next on the tournament schedule.
