Yucca Valley HS track hosted “best meet yet” against Desert Mirage Thursday (4/18)

Yucca Valley High School held a Track meet Thursday (April 18) facing Desert Mirage High School. 

Coach Patrick Francis said it was the best meet yet for the Trojans, after a loss to Twentynine Palms High School on April 4 and a tie against Cathedral City High School on March 28. 

The girls team won their second meet of the season with a final score of 62-27 Lead by Eva Musch, Taylor Soares, Lyrics Thompson, and Syhelie Gilmore, Musch took second in 200m, second in the 400m and first in Long Jump. 

The boys team won their first meet this season with score 58-48 The boys were led by Aiden Solis, Bryan Ouk-Gutierrez, and Roderick Rogers, with Solis taking first in the discus and second in shot put.

This Thursday (April 25) the Trojans will meet for league finals with all 8 schools in the Desert Valley League for the last time at 29 Palms High School starting at 3pm.
