The town of Yucca Valley invites you to celebrate Halloween with a kids costume competition, an obstacle course, and more at a free public event. Reporter Jef Harmatz has the hair-raising details.
The Yucca Valley Recreation Department and the Hi-Desert Nature Museum invite you and your family to their Halloween Spooktacular, which will feature giant inflatable obstacle courses, a treasure hunt, trick-or-treating and more. The gathering will also host a costume contest for kids, with prizes given to different age groups for best, scariest, funniest, and most original outfits. The event will be at the Yucca Valley Community Center on Saturday, October 30, from noon to 4 p.m., and the deadline to register for the costume contest is 2:45 p.m. For more event information and contest rules, visit hidesertnaturemuseum.org.
