The Town of Yucca Valley has a new Sheriff Service Specialist. Melissa Kramer began her career with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in 1999 as a Sheriff Explorer at the Morongo Basin station. She made the rank of Explorer Captain and was awarded Explorer of the Year in 2004. Kramer volunteered for numerous hours at community events, and she was awarded the Learning for Life Explorer of the County in 2004. Kramer began working for the Sheriff’s Department as a station officer in 2003, helping jail staff and station personnel. She advanced to office assistant at the Morongo Basin station in 2011, and was recently hired as service specialist for Yucca Valley. Melissa Kramer will be replacing Arden Wiltshire, who retired last year. Welcome, Melissa Kramer.
