The Yucca Valley High School wrestling team opened their season this week with some really big wins. On Tuesday (November 12), they wrestled Shadow Hills High School in a non-league dual. The Yucca Valley girls team lost the match but they wrestled well against one of the best girls teams in the state. Yucca Valley girls scored 15 points to Shadow hills 66.
The Yucca Valley boys beat shadow Hills for the first time 38-36.
On Wednesday (November 13) both the boys and girls Yucca Valley High School teams beat Coachella Valley High School, one of their biggest competitions in league. Yucca Valley girls scored 38 to Coachella valleys 15. Yucca Valley boys scored 48 to Coachella valleys 36.
