Yucca Valley High School wrestlers won a close match against Cathedral City, breaking the tie of 36 to 36 yesterday.
Coach Larry Giron said the tie was broken with pins from Timothy Harris, Malaky Chiu, Browdie Williams and Onkar Sandhu. Browdie had the fastest pin of the night in 26 seconds. Tim Harris, Malaky Chiu, Dylan Skelton had pins in matches earlier against Beaumont.
The Lady Trojans Wrestlers continued winning their matches with 4 pins from three girls.
Cheyenne Hallabrin and Ariel Fonseca with two pins and Genesis Rialmo with one pin.
Next week the Trojan Wrestling squad host Desert Mirage here at home in the gym for their first league match.
