The Yucca Valley High School varsity girls tennis team traveled to Desert Hot Springs Monday (September 27), winning 9-2. The team is now 4-3 and currently in 4th place. The team travels away to Desert Mirage Wednesday (September 29).
Event highlights: In Singles: Abby Aubuchon 6-0, 6-2, 6-0, Lacy Tazvel 6-1, 6-0, 6-0 and Ariella Guthrie 4-6, 7-5(7-5), 6-1. In Doubles: Samantha Hall and Dakota Wade 5-7, Samantha Hall and Dava Dalton 6-1. Both teams were missing players. Coach Cindy Miller: “The team is getting better everyday. We are looking forward to the second round to see how we have improved.”
