A local Yucca Valley High School sophomore will be among the middle and high school students to receive an award at the 19th annual (AVID) Write-
Off ceremony tonight. Reporter Andrew Dieleman has the details…
The AVID Write-Off is a timed-essay writing contest for middle and high school students enrolled in the AVID program. Students are given a narrow
time frame to complete a lengthy essay on a randomly-assigned topic, normally pertaining to personal experiences or obstacles. The essay written by Yucca Valley High School student Sabrina Radice was selected among hundreds of entries as the winner for the sophomore category. Sabrina will be among the seven students from Riverside and San Bernardino Counties to be awarded at the ceremony tonight. The ceremony will take place at the California Theatre of Performing Arts in downtown San Bernardino.
