Yucca Valley High School alumni will host a 50-year celebration and reunion for their graduating classes from 1969 through 1974, the first six classes of what was then a brand new school in town. Reporter Heather Clisby has the details…
The earliest graduates of Yucca Valley High School will be celebrated at a 50-year reunion event, October 18-21. Honoring the first six classes of YVHS, the reunion invites all graduates from 1969-1974 to recall a time when the school first opened.
The four-day celebration kicks off with an “ice-breaker” event on Friday, October 18, followed by several activities on Saturday, including golf, hiking, and tours of Keys Ranch in Joshua Tree National Park. The Saturday night party brings dinner, dancing, raffle prizes and more reminiscing at Hawk’s Landing. Sunday will include a YVHS tour to check out all the changes in the last five decades.
To attend, classmates must register at yvhsreunion.com where they will find detailed info on the event. There is a cost for the Saturday dinner, which must be paid in advance. No admittance without tickets and no tickets sold at the door. Inquiries can be emailed to: [email protected]
