Yucca Valley High School is hosting the first Visual and Performing Arts Extravaganza. The event will showcase the talents of local high school students for music, drama, and art. News Reporter Chanda-Lyn Fraschetti has the details…

Come experience the artistic talents of Yucca Valley High School students at the first Visual and Performing Arts Extravaganza, on Saturday, June 1, starting at 2 p.m. Chairman for the Visual and Performing Arts Department Bill Barrett, is the event organizer. “The art teachers have actually opened it up to all students on campus who want to submit their art for the art show, the music students are busy preparing, culinary kids are getting really excited, it’s kind of a big deal to do something like this on our campus to showcase all of these outstanding programs.” The event will kick off with an outdoor concert by the concert choir, select choir, symphonic band, and jazz ensemble followed by performances from the drama department and Improve Comedy Troupe. Visit the student art displays that will be available for purchase or grab a meal provided by the Culinary Club and Music Boosters. Tickets are available from music students or at the event. Drop by to visit Z107.7, Gary Daigneault, who will broadcast live from the event.
