In high school sports, the Yucca Valley High School golf team performed well at the Desert Valley League prelims Tuesday, posting a combined 18- hole team score of 437. Freshman Josh Pierce (80) carded the lowest score of the day. Larry Tyerman posted at score of 87. All six Trojan players advanced to the DVL finals scheduled to be played Thursday at Sun Lakes Golf Course in Banning.
Coach Jeff Evans said, “It was really nice to see all six of our players perform at a level good enough to move on to league finals.”
