With its 12-1 victory Thursday over Shadow Hills High School, the Yucca Valley High School girls’ softball team are DeAnza League champions.
The Lady Trojans traveled away to Indio and came away with an undefeated record of 12 and 0, with an overall win-loss record of 17-5. The girls are coached by Lance Cody and Ernesto Gamboa. The girls will find out Monday when and where they will play in the CIF play-offs, where they are currently ranked fourth.
