YUCCA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER BRING HOME A WIN

The Yucca Valley High School girls’ soccer team traveled to take on Rubidoux High School in CIF playoff action. Girls’ varsity soccer coach Scott Phillips said the Lady Trojans battled extreme heat on the field with temperatures over 100 degrees and won by a score of 2-1. Junior Alexia Missett scored both goals for the Lady Trojans with junior Hayli Mayhood and freshman Riley Vallo providing the assists. Senior Esther Obeso played everywhere on the field to lead her team to victory.

Next up for the Lady Trojans soccer squad will be an away playoff game against University Prep High School Thursday at 3 p.m.
