The Yucca Valley High School Boys soccer teams played a preseason home game versus Barstow High School yesterday (November 18)
Junior Varsity, lost 4 to 0. According to Coach Jorge Rodriguez, the player of the match is team captain Nicolas Cruz. Nick played with lots of effort and his leadership showed on the field. The rest of the team is gaining on the field experience and the coaches seeing the team make great progress.
The Varsity team lost 3 to 4 tonight. Goalkeeper Bruce Birch had 8 saves in his first Varsity game. Diego Delaney scored the first goal from the penalty spot. The Coach said that the player of the match was Cameron Barth who scored two goals in the second half. Coach Rodriguez said that, “the mood of the team is very positive and we are looking forward to our regular season. We thank all our supporters who attended our games today.”
