In a very competitive golf match yesterday the Yucca Valley golf team defeated Beaumont High School 227-231.
Low score of the day was carded by freshman Josh Piece (39). Coach Jeff Evans said, “Earlier this season the Trojans lost to Beaumont High School by four strokes, so today it was very rewarding for the players to win by four strokes. I’m very proud of this team and how they’ve handled our demanding golf schedule.”
The Trojans are now 17-1 this season. They travel to Indio High School tomorrow as they resume Desert Valley League play. The match is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m. at Indian Palms Golf Course.
