YUCCA VALLEY GIRLS’ SOCCER WINS ‘BATTLE OF THE CUP’ AGAINST TWENTYNINE PALMS

In the inaugural “Battle of the Cup,” the Yucca Valley High School Girls Soccer team hosted the Wildcats from Twentynine Palms High School. Coach Scott Philips said the Lady Trojans controlled the game and prevailed with a 7-0 score. Sophomore goalie Nikole Cody tie the record for shutouts in a season. The stats for the game are as follows: freshman Alexia Missett, four goals, one assist; senior Amy Priest, one goal, one assist; senior Michaela Milone, one goal, one assist; junior Jennifer Luersen, one goal; junior Karson Scaccinoce, one  assist; freshman Meghan Udell, one assist.
