YUCCA VALLEY GIRLS’ SOCCER LOSES TO DESERT MIRAGE

The Yucca Valley High School Girl soccer team faced Desert Mirage High School yesterday and lost 2-1.

McKenna Larson scored the first goal within the first 10 minutes of the first half from a corner kick by Nicole Powell. The girls held a score of 1-0 going into the second half.  Desert Mirage had two good runs in the second half resulting in a loss for Yucca Valley High School with a score of 1-2. Shelbee Howe did a great job defending the Trojan goal for the entirety of the game with nine saves.

The Yucca Valley High School Junior Varsity girls’ soccer won, 3-0.

Goals were made by Evelyn Villava, Sarah Krenelka, and Brooklynn Dougherty, with assists by Raine Swan, Amanda Cruz, and Jayda Henry.
