YUCCA VALLEY GIRLS’ SOCCER DEFEAT TWENTYNINE PALMS, 7-0

The Yucca Valley High School girls’ soccer team defeated Twentynine Palms High School, 7-0.

The girls brought home a victory Wednesday night against Twentynine Palms. Coach Jolene Pessa said, “Our communication and accuracy is improving. As a result we were able to perform combination plays and finish with 7 of 14 shots on goal, in the net. Heading into the second leg of the season the girls have their work cut out for them. With hard work and dedication, I feel the team will come back strong. With each game we learn something new, if applied properly we will continue to improve.”

Goals were scored by: Rylee Nutter, four goals; Macey DeCicco, one; Loryn Brimhall, two goals.

Assists were made by Sarah Krenelka, Brooklynn Dougherty, and McKenna Larson.
