The Yucca Valley free summer concert series kicks of tomorrow night on the softball fields at the Community Center Complex. I will be the emcee and Z107.7 will be giving away Wet n’ Wild tickets to two lucky winners. Reporter Mike Lipsitz says this week’s band will bring some country and western sounds… Yucca Valley’s annual free summer music festival kicks off with the country music sounds of the Silverados on Saturday, July 11, at the Yucca Valley community center ball field. The Silverados have opened for Tim McGraw and have been rocking country music since 1992. The band has great versatility; two men and two women share lead vocals and the band prides itself in their vocal harmonies and stage presence. The Silverados’ playlist features current top 40 country hits from artists like Toby Keith, Carrie Underwood, and Miranda Lambert, and rounded out with classic rock hits from the 60’s and 70’s—think The Beatles, Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, and Guns N Roses. The Silverados’ high energy, up-tempo sound appeals to a wide variety of music lovers. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. The music gets cranking at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.
