YUCCA VALLEY FOOTBALL VICTORIOUS OVER BANNING

In high school sports, the Yucca Valley High School football team won 42-28 in a hard-fought victory at Banning High School Friday night. Coach JD Thompson said the Trojans scored the last 15 points to secure the win. Albert Montes-Reyes had two receiving touchdowns and Caleb Robinson scored three touchdowns, (two rushing, one receiving). Aldo Villalba sealed the victory with a tremendous directional punt inside the Banning 1-yard that was muffed and then recovered by the Trojans. Defensive standouts were defensive lineman Hayden Higgins, LB Tayten Shartel, and safeties Albert Montes-Reyes and Makoa Kakalia.
