Coach John Stewart said the Yucca Valley High School Trojan football team fought hard during the game in a 38-9 loss to St. Margaret’s Episcopal High School San Juan Capistrano Friday. Tayten Shartel added 50 more yards to his total rushing yards on the year, and Braden Brimhal threw for 150-plus yards hitting Cole Davis and Warren Higgins on big gains. Tyler Cooper hit a 20-yard field goal while Ushon Godson had the Trojan’s only touchdown and added 30-plus yards on the ground. Shartel had an interception on defense for the Trojans and returned it 25 yards.
