A fire in Yucca Valley was put out without injury, though there was damage to the property.
On Saturday (August 24), just after 11 a.m., a vehicle on fire in a driveway at a residence off Richard Dr. in Yucca Valley was called in to 911. Engines from San Bernardino County Fire arrived to find a car on fire at the home with the residence threatened.
Winds increased and the fire pushed into the eaves and bedroom window of the duplex. Fire spread into the structure of the home, but ME41 was able to ensure evacuations were completed on the two units and knocked the fire down, quickly limiting any further spread or damage.
No injuries were reported, and the fire remains under investigation.
