The schedule for the Yucca Valley Film Festival, set for this weekend, has been released. The event will start 6 p.m. Friday with a red carpet, and the screenings of the movies starts at 7:30. First up is “Love Cycles,” a short story of Jeremiah Armenta, who refurbishes vintage Harley Davidson motorcycles, with a feature appearance by Jason Momoa. Saturday’s schedule of the Yucca Valley Film Festival starts with documentaries at 9 a.m., followed at 10 a.m. by a class with master cinematographer John Stanier, who worked on the movies Dirty Dozen: Next Mission, and Death Wish 3. Animated films start at 2 p.m. and student films at 4 p.m. Another red carpet event will be at 6:30 p.m., with more films at 7.
On Sunday, an arts, crafts, and entertainment fair is set for 10 to 3. An appearance by Jack Sparrow is set for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and a costume contest at 2. Visual arts and music videos, including one with Jesika Von Rabbit, start at 4, with another red carpet event at 6:30 and the final films and awards starting at 7:30.
All events are free and will be held at the Yucca Valley Community Center.
