YUCCA VALLEY FILM FESTIVAL CONTINUES SATURDAY, SUNDAY

The Yucca Valley Film Festival continues this Saturday and Sunday at the Yucca Valley Community Center. Saturday’s schedule starts with documentaries at 9 a.m., followed at 10 a.m. by a class with master cinematographer John Stanier, who worked on the movies Dirty Dozen, Next Mission, and Death Wish 3. Animated films start at 2 p.m. and student films at 4 p.m. Another red carpet event will be held at 6:30 p.m., with more films at 7. On Sunday; an arts, crafts, and entertainment fair is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. An appearance by Jack Sparrow is set for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and a costume contest at 2. Visual arts and music videos, including one with Jesika Von Rabbit, start at 4 p.m., with another red carpet event at 6:30 p.m. and the final films and awards starting at 7:30.
